Position Overview
The basic task of a Painter for Structural Steel is to be responsible for applying high-quality paint coatings to large steel frameworks, ensuring durability, corrosion resistance, and aesthetic appeal. Your expertise will contribute to the integrity and longevity of structural components used in various industrial projects. Key Competencies
- Apply industrial-grade paint coatings to structural steel using airless spray systems, brushes and rollers
- Prepare surfaces and inspect steel components before painting to ensure quality standards
- Operate material handling equipment (e.g. cranes) safely within the workspace
- Read technical drawings and specifications to ensure coating accuracy and compliance
- Maintain equipment condition, workplace cleanliness and follow all safety procedures
Experience
- Proven experience in industrial or construction painting, preferably on structural steel
- Familiarity with airless paint spraying equipment and industrial coating techniques
- Experience with forklifts, cranes or manufacturing environments is considered an asset
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and perform accurate measurements
- Detail-oriented with a quality-focused and safety-driven mindset.
